Fiumicino Airport, Rome: taking-off with open hold, a Spitz advises the captain
(WAPA) - Nobody has realized that, but a Blue Air’s plane with on board 140 people was taking-off yesterday afternoon from Fiumicino (destination Bucharest) while its hold was opened. As it seems everybody, the captain, the crew, the Flightercare (the handling society) have given the OK. Everybody, expect for a dog. The pet, a 2-year old Spitz, transported in the hold among the luggage (the owner, the Romanian Stoica Ionut, had tried to bring it on the board as hand-luggage, but the cage was not conform) has been able to go out from the aircraft while was on taxiing, and chasing after it being able to bring himself to his owner’s attention, that has seen him on the runway from the window. The man has advised the steward and the captain has stopped the take-off. A real luck, because if the plane was taken off with its hold open would have had notable problems of pressure risking for an emergency.
Confirmed: the dog is the man’s best friend!
